Martin Rendle - Tenor                              
 
Performance Experience

Martin Rendle attained his performers diploma at the London College of Music, is a Fellow of the Guild of Musicians and Singers and a Fellow of the Academy of Saint Cecilia. He is a regular performer of Opera, Operetta and Oratorio. He has toured nationally and internationally, working with companies such as, Glyndebourne, Opera Box, Columbia Artists, European Chamber Opera, London City Opera, Raymond Gubbay ltd, Opera d'Amici, Cameo Opera and Crystal Clear Opera.

Recent opera roles include; Tamino/Monostatos (Magic Flute), Goro (Madama Butterfly), Eisenstein (Die Fledermaus), Frederic (Pirates of Penzance), Remendado (Carmen), Don Basilio/Don Curzio (Marriage of Figaro), Gaston(La Traviata) and Spoletta (Tosca). Recent oratorio performances include, Messiah, Israel in Egypt, Creation, Mozart's Requiem, and Elijah. 

Martin was assistant director for European Chamber Opera's tours of La Boheme and Tosca, and directed Opera d'Amici's production of La Boheme. He has also directed a number of performances for his own company Simply Opera, including Marriage of Figaro, The Magic Flute and scenes from La Traviata and La Boheme. 
 
Workshop Leader / Vocal Animateur / Singing Teacher

Martin works as a freelance workshop leader and vocal animateur. He has worked on a number of education and outreach projects both in schools and in the community for Glyndebourne Opera, East Sussex Music Service, Mencap, and Canterbury Christ Church University's 'Sing For Your Life' project, working with the elderly and those with reduced cognitive function.

As an experienced singing teacher, Martin has worked in a number of education establishments and drama schools as well as teaching privately at his studio in Kent. His pupils range from children to adults, including beginners, through to experienced professional performers in theatre and television.

Artistic Director - Simply Opera

Martin is the Artistic Director for Kent based 'Simply Opera'. The company specialises in taking music and opera to venues outside the normal theatre environment, to those who do not normally attend, or have reasonable access to, a theatre.

Simply Opera also provides education and outreach projects to schools and the community, as well as singers for private functions and corporate events.
